We will forever love the look of fresh white exteriors, but we also love the dramatic look of black. We are seeing more of this trend, and when done right, the effect can be stunning. These monochrome exteriors with lush landscapes are anything but dark and dreary!
It’s all about the details and piping is one that makes everything better. Piping on pillows and furniture can be used to coordinate fabrics or to add contrast (think, white couch + colorful piping = big impact). It’s a small detail that can transform a room into a unique and custom-looking space.

Antelope rugs are fun, yet neutral, and super versatile. We’ve seen them used in many spaces, from living rooms, bedrooms, and libraries to stairways.
If you have the budget, we love Stark’s Antelope rug (often seen in designer magazines). Ballard Designs also has a beautiful version that won’t break the bank (9×12 under $900). We opted for the latter…kids, dogs, wine. Thank you, Ballard.
One of our all-time favorite stores is Details & Design located in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts, in the small sailing village of Padanaram. The owner, Margaret Silva, has a knack for finding the most amazing on-trend interior decor, clothing, and jewelry. Every time we walk in the store we are mesmerized by the collection of items she manages to put together in one small space. The vibe is a perfect balance of fun, chic, eclectic, coastal, modern, and country.
